I was walking home to my apartment when I noticed a flower sitting alone in a flowerbed. As I passed it, I started to regret not taking a longer moment to admire it. It made me realize how often I move too fast, rarely stopping to really notice my surroundings. A few moments later, I walked past another flower of the same kind in a different bed. This time, I stopped. But this flower was dying.
